Meet the Mind Body Optimization Team

Kari Herman, PMHNP received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech UHSC. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from FNU. Kari is dual board-certified in psychiatric mental health and nurse-midwifery. She has spent the last 20 years serving women, children, and families in both clinic and hospital settings in Texas. Shared decision-making on treatment options and medication management with patients is very important to her. As a nurse practitioner, she values patient autonomy and input. She has a special interest in ADHD, Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and PTSD in children. Kari has an extensive background in helping women with depression, anxiety, and life changes throughout adulthood. Kari enjoys traveling and spending time with her young adult children when she is not home relaxing with her two rescue cats.
