Lisa is Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. She specializes in working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. She often works with people who are intelligent, creative, and sometimes feel sensitive to the world around them (i.e. uncomfortable in crowded or noisy places, dealing with people sometimes takes too much effort, and feeling easily irritated with even small stressors). People who have always been there for others but are now struggling with “burnout”.
Lisa helps her clients identify the causes of their emotional distress and find healthy coping skills for better emotional regulation. She also works with clients to identify their emotional needs and learn better self-care. Lisa has been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She individualizes treatment to the needs of each client and believes that therapy should be a relaxed and positive experience.
